The Shadows - Theme From "Missing" (Guitar Instrumental Version played by Chris Hampton)

Here is my version of the "Theme From Missing" which was originally composed by Vangelis for the 1982 film "Missing". The screenplay of the film was adapted from the book The Execution of Charles Horman: An American Sacrifice (1978) by Thomas Hauser (later republished under the title Missing in 1982), based on the disappearance of American journalist Charles Horman, in the aftermath of the United States-backed Chilean coup of 1973, which deposed the democratically elected socialist President Salvador Allende. This arrangement was recorded by The Shadows for their 1982 album "Life In The Jungle" and was released as a single with the B-side "The Shady Lady".

I played this using my Fender Stratocaster (Bridge Pickup) with the Zoom G2.1Nu and Echoes From The Past by Charlie Hall (EFTP Patch B7). Recording was via USB to my home PC with Cubase.

The backing track was the original one by The Shadows with Hank's lead guitar reduced and I also used tablature written by Phil McGarrick (random275) which is available on his website as a free download - http://www.philmcgarrick.co.uk
