5 Days Of Solo Backpacking In Whistler - Wildcamping, Hiking, & Crazy Summits

This was my first ever solo 5-day backpacking trip—and it was an absolutely wild adventure from start to finish, deep in the heart of Garibaldi Provincial Park near Whistler, BC.

The journey started with a flight from Alberta to Vancouver, followed by a scenic bus ride up the Sea-to-Sky Highway with unreal views. From there, I strapped on my snowshoes and hit the trails solo, pushing through winter conditions to reach the Claire and Kees Alpine Hut high in the mountains. I was rewarded with unbelievable inversion views, untouched snow-covered peaks, and one of the most surreal experiences of my life during this first part of the trip.
