Performing Sa‘i between them is part of Hajj and Umrah. This verse clarifies that there is no sin in walking (sa‘i) between Safa and Marwah. This was revealed because some early Muslims hesitated due to past pagan associations at those places.
Allah corrected this misunderstanding: Sa‘i is a legitimate and blessed act of worship for anyone performing Hajj or Umrah.Today, sa‘i is obligatory (wājib) and a crucial part of both rituals.
Allah appreciates voluntary good deeds. The verse ends with two beautiful Names of Allah:
(Sukur) — “Appreciative”: Allah values even the smallest good deed done sincerely.
(Elem) — “All-Knowing”: He knows the intention behind every action
Any extra good you do in the Haram, during Hajj/Umrah, or in life in general, is rewarded generously by Allah.
