The first track day of the year is a time of great excitement !
That being said, the track is a living, breathing thing and week to week it can change with repairs, upgrades, new signs, signs missing, objects that were reference point gone (power poles, buildings), so you have to go out in the first session to discover what the track is like TODAY.
If you can get there a day early, walk it when the track closes at night and take a tennis ball with you.
