Prayer! An Object Lesson -

Prayer is one of the greatest gifts God has given us, yet so many kids ignore it or see it as a chore or habit. This object lesson (really, an activity more than an object lesson) teaches the most basic fact of prayer: talking to God.

Are string phones a lost art? I'll show you how to make one. You can make a few with the kids, letting them experiment with the length of the string to see how long they can make it before they can't hear each other.

Because this object lesson is for young children primarily, the activity page that comes with the lesson plan (link above) features three simple cartoon images kids can color, cut out and paste to their phones.
