Had a solid evening chasing backyard brown trout on my local creek.
There was some kind of hatch — Tricos or midges — but the fish were being picky and wouldn’t touch a dry.
So I switched to tiny nymphs under an indicator (midge emerger + caddis larva) and that did the trick!
Also had a big duo chase my brown Woolly Bugger — wild moment, wish one had committed.
