In this video I show you how to make and set up a takuliang ka itu vihit in the style of the Siraya and Pingpu indigenous people of Taiwan.
A variation of the trap commonly known as the tilong, the takuliang ka itu vihit (rat trap in the Siraya language*) is a snare trap designed to catch rats & mice. There are already quite a few videos online on how to build this type of trap, but I haven't found any tutorials of how to build one specifically in the style of the Siraya. There are actually very few of this specific style of trap left in Taiwan and the two shown at the beginning of the video were really the only ones I was able to locate.
*Special thanks to Edgar L. Macapili for helping to give this trap a name in Siraya!
