It's been a minute since my last video. Work and holidaze have been keeping me jumping! Anyhow, today I decided to do a little chat video about the 404/505 combo. Running the Roland SP-404 mk2 into the Boss RC-505 mk2 is a really powerful combo! I rarely use the 404 for anything other than a sampler, resampler, sample-mangler. Playing samples into the 505 and looping the results with the 505's built in effects is a lot of fun! The process I described here on this video can be accomplished with many different tools. Run your 404 into a DAW and use the incredible effects (like Ableton Live!!!). Use a looper app on an iPad! Run the 404 into a looper pedal! The possibilities are endless!
