My Asus Zenfone 2 is a cheap phone from the start and has been used as a backup phone. That means I've been lending it to family members and it has been abused. This is the second new screen put on the phone. The first replaced screen (TM) isn't of good quality and this time around, the screen "bled" after it cracked so I cannot see anything on the upper half of the screen, so I had to replace it (with an AUO panel).
This is my first time replacing a smartphone screen and is probably the last of the easy smartphones to take apart, now that every smartphone is a glass and metal sandwich.
I had the screen replaced by a cell phone repair place and the bill was ~$120 and a week wait. Now, I've replaced the screen again and the total came out to less than $22 and thirty minutes of my time. I advise you do the same. Difficulty is medium on this phone.
