The 2026 FIFA World Cup draw was a heavily politicized event that went on for an unnecessarily long time, but one that eventually served up some exciting fixtures to look forward to.
In this video, I sat down to review the draw with a focus on the African teams in particular. Morocco against Brazil in Group C, Mexico & South Africa running it back in Group A on the same day as the opening match in 2010 and Senegal hoping to have another giant killing World Cup opener against France in Group I; these are some of the most exciting matches to look forward to.
I tip some African countries to qualify in 2nd & 3rd place, while ruling out any chance for the likes of Cabo Verde and Algeria.
