Standing Up Part 2

A little while later a doctor came in Ella & Amber's faces looked up at him

Amber: how is he doc how's my brother?

Doctor: Well girls would you mind if i spoke to your dad alone first

Ella: No way dude we want you to tell us as a family now sh0ot

The Doctor sighed and begins to speak

Doctor: Alright well Joshua's injuries are very serve he's lucky to be alive the accident has caused a spinal fracture in the lower part of his spine meaning he may never walk again he has a serve head injury a broken leg, 3 ribs & arm he's in a stable coma now we just have to wait till he wakes up if he wakes up he's going to need extensive physical therapy to learn to use a wheelchair & talk again

Amber's POV
My heart went crazy Josh was crippled i knew something bad had happened but i never expected anything like this to happen he was twin brother I started cry Ella was always alot stronger then me even though she's only twelve Ella is very mature for her age she gave me a hug.

Ella: its ok Amber Josh is really strong he's going to pull though i know it

Amber: thanks Ella?

Amber looked over at her dad he was in tears he'd never cried well not in a long time thats for sure the last time Amber and seen Connor cry was when their mom died 4 years ago Amber walked over to her dad.
Amber: dad Ella's right Josh will be fine

Connor: I hope so guys

Doctor: would you guys like to him?

Connor: yes please?

The doctor smiled and lead them in to the ICU ward beeps and beeps were coming out of every room he lead them into a room where Josh was on his own he was covered in wires and breathing tube was in his mouth to help him breathe Amber slowy walks up to him and takes his hand.

Doctor: its ok he can hear you?

Amber: Joshy its Amber please wake up bro I really need you?

Ella: Yeah come on Josh who's going to sing to me when i cant sleep at night

I mean Ambers a great singer but shes not as good as you
Connor walks to over to Amber who is now in tears he takes Josh's hand off her grabs a chair and sits down next to him

Connor: Joshua its daddy buddy your going to be ok kido I promise but you
just gotta wake up for us ok come on Josh open those eyes

Nothing happened and soon days turned into weeks and weeks and finally one day when Connor had left work early to go see Josh again holding his hand Josh started to wake up very confused and agitated.

Connor: Come on Kido squeeze my hand wake up Josh?

Josh squeezes Connor's hand

Connor: NURSE NURSE HELLO SOMEONE!!!!!! Its ok buddy its dad im here?

Nurse: Yes Oh hes awake calm down sweetie?

Josh tries to take the tube out of his mouth the nurse holds him down.
Connor: Josh stop ok its helping you breathe calm down come on just calm down ok Josh calms down then looks his dad in the eyes as if to say what happened

Connor: Josh do you remember what happened?

Josh shook his head

Connor: you were in car crash Josh 3 weeks ago

Josh sighs and tries to move his legs then when he cant he loosk at Connor again and points

Connor: Josh you broke spine you may never walk again

Josh's POV
I listened to what dad said and although I couldnt say anything back i knew what that meant no more soccer i couldnt quite understand how i had been out for 3 weeks but i guessed i was in a coma i was sore all over I started cry i had never cired but i was so upset I couldnt remember what happened and i couldnt ask who i was with the night it happened
