5 things you need to know about the new CJ4

The Cessna Citation CJ4 is one of the most popular aircraft in MSFS and in January 2023 with the release of AAU1, the stock aircraft saw a major overhaul by Working Title, bringing payware level airliner avionics to a stock sim aircraft.

The changes are catching out lots of folk, both those used to the WT mod (WHICH IS NOW REDUNDANT) and those who flew the stock version, but who are less familiar with these kinds of avionics. This video gives you tips and hints to help get you started and avoid the most common problems.

UPDATE (24 March 23): An update was delivered in SU12. This has greatly improved the flight model with the dip on rotation removed and the excessive ballooning from Flaps 35 resolved. Smooth landing are now much easier.

Other improvements include that nav-2-nav automatic switching from LNAV to LOC when capturing an ILS works for all airports including custom 3rd party scenery ones. Some TAWS callous have been added also (gear, 500ft)

There are continuing issues with the aircraft electrical systems with ground power not functioning and incorrect battery amperages showing.

Comment - this has now been announced and early testing shows a much-improved handling on the pitch axis, less flap ballooning, more resistance to weathervaning/better ground friction, smoother landings and the implementation of in-cockpit checklists.
