Final System Fill and First Run of the Radiant Heat - Day 5, Episode 47 [1-30-2021]

In this video I will finish filling all of the manifolds and secondary piping, and fire up the radiant heat. Sorry this one got so long, but it was an extremely busy day and I did not want to break up one day of work into separate videos. In the end the system was purged of all air and pressurized to 15 psi. I ran the Radiant pumps for a while as a test. I will fire up the Heated Driveway tomorrow and start to snowmelt the driveway. It starts with how I designed the PEX and Snowmelt Loop Layout, shows the process of installing the actual heated concrete slab, demonstrates how I did the math to calculate the boiler and pump sizes, installation of all of the components, and ends with lots of time-lapse of the system melting snow. It also includes snowmelt system startup and shutdown videos, as well as walkthroughs of the mechanical room, continuous circulation design and electrical system.
