Broadway performer and recording artist Dallyn Vail Bayles has performed twice as a guest soloist with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir on their "Music and the Spoken Word" broadcast and was featured in the 2012 concert, "Golden Days: A Celebration of Life" honoring the 85th birthday of the LDS Church's president, Thomas S. Monson. Acclaimed as "riveting," Dallyn has performed leading roles on two Broadway national tours and in various film and theater productions. Please welcome this talented artist as he performs a song that was requested by a forgotten parish priest, written by a poet who would later split from the Catholic church, given music by a Jewish composer, and brought to Americans to serve as a tool to denounce slavery. This beautiful piece of music was the first song ever sent through the air via radio waves. O Holy Night had found a new medium that would take it around the world.
