📖 MELODIC MINOR - History Of Origin:
The melodic minor scale began in classical music as a fix for the natural minor’s weak pull to the tonic. Composers raised the 6th and 7th degrees — but only when ascending — to strengthen melodic motion and create a more expressive line. Later, jazz musicians adopted the ascending version as a full scale, unlocking seven rich modes full of tension, color, and modern harmonic possibilities.
