Vazir - the next gen

It was a pleasure meeting Vinisha Singhi from Vazir at the 2nd Chennai Pen Show earlier this year. It was a pleasure because she represents the generation next at Vazir, and it is always such a happy occasion when one sees the children step into the boots of their parents, taking the respective businesses forward. And, the confidence (not to mention elan) with which Vinisha takes us through this short video, is striking, which tells us that Vazir, is in safe hands.

Vazir as you all know, is from Mumbai, established by a husband-wife duo of Vishal and Nisha Singhi. They make hand-turned Indian pens that are good to look at and great to write with. Vazir is always a step ahead of the curve in terms of offerings and has created a dedicated follower base with its offerings. Their fountain pens are well crafted and come at competitive prices, which are reasons behind their runaway success.

With many Indian entities– even in the fountain pen and ink segment, struggling with succession issues, Vanisha’s entry is indeed a welcome change. With the infusion of young blood, newer ideas will certainly follow, which will not only be beneficial to Vazir, but also to the industry as well. I hope and pray that her entry becomes the harbinger of many more to come.
