This week I built a Mimban Stormtrooper from Solo: A Star Wars Story!

The standard TK Stormtrooper has always been on my list to build, but I decided to do the Mimbam variant instead since it doesn’t get nearly as much love! I was particularly excited to try my hand at making the helmet appear like it had just been pulled from a muddy, rained out battlefield and I think I did a pretty good job replicating that look. I used a mixture of paint and matte or gloss Mod Podge layers combined with clay powder to accomplish the look of older dry mud layers and new wet mud layers. This was a pretty simple build and a lot of fun!
