Bitexco Financial Tower is located at 2 Hai Trieu Street, Ho Tung Mau Street, Ngo Duc Ke Street. The tower is built on an area of nearly 6,100 m². The investor is Bitexco Group. Bitexco Financial Tower started construction in May 2004 and was inaugurated on October 31, 2010 to become the tallest building in Vietnam (dethroning Saigon Trade Center) and was dethroned by Landmark 72 in February 2011. The scale includes 68 floors and 3 basements, height 262.5m. Although it only held the record for the tallest building in Vietnam for a short time (about 4 months), with its architecture inspired by lotus buds, the tower is still considered a symbol of the modernity, dynamism and development of Ho Chi Minh City. The tower is equipped with 16 Otis elevators (Imported from the US) with a speed of 6m/s and the first 2-floor elevator system in Vietnam. The ground floor to the 6th floor is the podium area. Floors 7 to 54 are office areas (In which floor 47 is the public lobby area for offices. Floor 48 is the area of Bitexco Group and there is also a path to Top Office Suites. Floor 49 is the observation deck, where visitors want to see the city 360 degrees. Floor 50 is the cafe area but has been permanently closed. Floors 51, 52 are restaurants, bars and especially there is a helicopter landing pad on floor 52. Floors 53, 54, 55, 56 are office areas for VIP guests. Floors 57 to 60 are the sky restaurant area (Currently closed), offices for VIP guests. Floors 61 to 65 are Penthouse offices, the construction management unit of Bitexco Financial Tower is located on floor 63. Floors 66, 67, 68 are the technical area. Staircase (Phase 1) is located next to the low floor area (LL - 30) and can go up to the 52nd floor. The staircase (Phase 2) is located next to the internal staircase area and can go up to the 60th floor. The staircase from the 61st to the 67th floor can be narrowed and the staircase area is smaller than the 60th floor and below.
