Falcons are beautiful birds of prey belonging to family Falconidae. They are different from eagles, hawks and kites as they kill their prey with their beak. Falcons are also routinely used in Falconery. There are 15 species of Falcons found in Pakistan.

Eurasian kestrel, Falco tinnunculus
Red-necked falcon, Falco chicquera
Red-footed falcon, Falco vespertinus
Amur falcon, Falco amurensis
Sooty falcon, Falco concolor

Eurasian hobby, Falco subbuteo
Oriental hobby, Falco severus
Lanner falcon, Falco biarmicus
Laggar falcon, Falco jugger
Saker falcon, Falco cherrug
Gyrfalcon, Falco rusticolus
Shaheen or Peregrine falcon, Falco peregrinus
Barbaray Falcon, Falco peregrenoides
