Sheriff worried over early release of NYS inmates amid prison staffing shortages

Livingston County Sheriff Thomas Dougherty is concerned about the early release of some inmates amid prison staffing shortages following the statewide strikes that resulted in the firing of more than 2,000 workers.

"Anytime you have inmates coming onto our streets that normally would be incarcerated, it's concerning."
