Lajares Fuerteventura - Where to live in Fuerteventura

Lajares is a vibrant, growing village just inland from Corralejo and El Cotillo, in the north of Fuerteventura. I think it is the nicest of the villages in Fuerteventura.

As people who have watched my video about La Oliva, where we live, they will know that we actually wanted to live in Lajares. It has a number of nice bars and restaurants, with the occasional new one opening from time to time. Some of the bars (The Return Bar and Canela Cafe) have live music on various nights of the week.

There are bakeries, a good supermarket, a ferreteria, and other shops too.

They hold the Lajares craft market on the square every Saturday.
