Wrecking Ball Taken to the ‘Leaning Tower of Dallas’ in Second Demolition Attempt

Last Sunday, an implosion failed to demolish the former Affiliated Computer Services building in Dallas, Texas, leaving its core structure standing in a position reminiscent of the ‘Leaning Tower of Pisa’.

Renamed the ‘Leaning Tower of Dallas’, the slanting building has become a social media sensation, with residents posting funny pictures online playing with the perspective, as they do with the famous Italian tower in the background.

On Monday, the demolition company opted to use the old-fashioned wrecking ball to batter it down. People were joking about the small dimensions of the ball in comparison to the building, but the size was dictated by several health and safety factors. The demolition crew said it will take two to three days to bring down the structure.
