Devastated by the tragedy, Lucas drove back to Indianapolis and soon after, found himself at a recruiter’s office, ready to fight for his country. From deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan to earning the Purple Heart, his path has been one of bravery and resilience. Today, he’s a dedicated Detective and Football Coach at Perry Township Schools, guiding and inspiring students.
