The Russian invasion of Ukraine shows us the darkness of this world, but Ukrainian Catholic artist Ivanka Demchuk's icon of the Annunciation brings light into that pain.

⚜️ “The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light.” ⚜️

March 25th marks the Feast of the Annunciation, where the light of God entered creation and the Word Became Flesh. This feast day is a vital reminder that God works within history. He has come to save His people!

On this Feast of the Annunciation, let's keep our focus not on the darkness that's around us, but on the light of Christ and His saving power. He has come to redeem us, and whatever happens in this world, He will call us to himself if we live with faith in him and we do not lose our hope.
