Skyrim | Episode 15: Potema's a Poltergeist and Malkoran's a Malcontent

Freyja and Eurandur begin hauling their ill-gotten treasure from the Blackblood Marauders back toward Solitude. With their packs heavy and their spirits high, they decide to take the long road southwest toward Dragon Bridge.

Along the way, they pass Wolfskull Cave, only to see several reanimated skeletons staggering out into the daylight. Their appearance confirms the concerns brought before the court in the Blue Palace, and since Freyja had agreed to investigate, she and Eurandur head inside to uncover the source of the disturbance.

Within the cavern, they discover a circle of necromancers attempting to summon none other than Potema, the infamous Wolf Queen. They intend to bind her spirit and bend it to their will, completely unaware of the scale of the terror they are toying with.

Freyja and Eurandur disrupt the ritual just in time, scattering the coven and interrupting Potema’s return, hopefully for good.

Before returning to Solitude, Freyja and Eurandur proceed to Fort Hraggstad to clear it of bandits for the Imperial Legion. The battle is fierce, and Freyja takes time to rest and recover her wounds before moving on.

Back on the road toward Solitude, they make another stop, this time at Meridia’s temple. There, they fight through waves of undead raised by the necromancer Malkoran. After a grueling battle, he is defeated, freeing the temple and earning a Freyja a reward; Dawnbreaker, Meridia’s blazing sword.

At last, Freyja returns to Solitude and takes the Legion’s oath, formally joining the Imperial Army. General Tullius immediately tasks her with assisting in the search for the legendary Jagged Crown, convinced that Jarl Elisif must claim it before the rebels do.

Freyja spends some time preparing, visiting the market, gathering supplies, and resting at the Winking Skeever before hiring a carriage to Whiterun. From there, she plans to set out for the ancient ruin of Korvanjund, where she will rendezvous with Legate Rikke and join the hunt for the crown.
