Remove the fuel tank first

04:50 Replace the fuel filter every 40 000 km
It is advisable to drain the fuels in a separate container during the change
In this case, the fuel tank was already pretty empty, so I didn’t remove the fuel separately
Before removing the fuel pump unit, check / mark the correct position!
This fuel filter is original from 2002 !! And the motorcycle has driven over 83,000 km!
Check the condition of the fuel hoses, especially around the clamp points!
New clamps and fuel filter in place
I have bought this fuel filter before. The exchange has only moved to this day
Note correct direction of flow through fuel filter!
Tighten one-time-hose clips with pliers.
Personally, I use regular pliers
Make sure the joints are tight
Here’s an intelligence test on how to get a new seal in place without removing other hoses
That much time went by wondering, so I did it without a camera! ;)
This is the correct position for the fuel pump unit!
Pay attention to the fuel tank washers
Bike back to driving condition! Of course other basic maintenance after this, such as oils, oil filter, etc ...

1 x 16141341008 O-Ring for fuel pump assembly
2 x 16121176918 Fuel hose clamp
1 x 83132184843 BMW Brake fluid 1 litre
