How to add USB ports to your laptop
If you have a lot of USB devices you want to connect to your laptop but your laptop has a limited number of USB ports, you probably need a USB hub.

USB hubs are the fastest and easiest way to add additional USB ports to your computer. You simply connect the hub to one of the existing USB ports on your laptop, and then you can use the additional USB ports that the hub provides to connect additional devices to your laptop.

One large benefit of USB hubs is that they do not require a separate power source: it’s powered by the laptop it’s connected to. You also shouldn’t need to download any drivers or software for the hub, it should be plug and play as soon as you get it.
