Step into the heart of Crenshaw Boulevard, where soul meets celebration and legacy takes center stage. This year’s Taste of Soul festival was a radiant tapestry of music, culture, and connection—captured through the lens of Melowvision and cultural archivist.
🎺 Opening Act: Crenshaw High School Marching Band.
The festival kicked off with the powerful, pride-filled performance of the Crenshaw High School Marching Band, whose horns and drums echoed the spirit of South LA. Their precision and passion set the tone for a day of unforgettable artistry.
🎤 Main Stage: Rose Royce.
Following the band, the legendary Rose Royce took the Danny Bakewell stage, delivering a soul-soaked set that had the crowd swaying and singing in unison. Their timeless catalog brought funk, romance, and raw emotion to Crenshaw.
