This is a tutorial. I made a long time ago, but never produced. The primary function of this is to show you how I work with opal clay. Create hollow forms that have depth and don’t turn brown from the translucent clay. I briefly describe at the end how I make them into hollow pendants, but unfortunately, those are long gone.
AFTER THOUGHTS - after adding your framing clay to the front of your pendant around the cabochon, I would drill a small air HOLE in the location where you are going to place your tab and bake your pendant before adding the tab. after baking drill and air hole closer to the area where the straw will be placed. YOU want air to be able to escape so your pendant doesn’t expand and crack or OR STRETCH the glaze .
