Gimmelwald is an undiscovered beauty of Switzerland.

The arrival alone is spectacular – a cable-car takes you high over the rocks to Gimmelwald (1400m).
The intact, pedestrian, Alpine village with its 13 farms and many houses decorated with an array of flowers, has maintained its original character. Above all, families and young people from all corners of the world come together here.

Winter

Gimmelwald is an insider tip for guests seeking, and also finding, something special. Despite being located away from the hustle and bustle of tourism, Gimmelwald is directly linked by cable car to the entire winter infrastructure of the Schilthorn region. A stay in one of the cosy and reasonably-priced accommodations in this pedestrian, farming village with its unpretentious atmosphere appeals above all to families, the young and the young at heart. Skiers, snowboarders and those on toboggans can ride right up to their front door.

Summer

Footpaths leave directly from the house and lead over lush green meadows, carpets of flowers, cool streams always offering impressive views of the mountainous scenery. Weary walkers can treat themselves right at the farm: specialities like cheese, sausages and much more can be bought from the market ladies or farmers.
