The Quest 1 and 2 use the same lenses (as far as I can tell) so this repair will work on both.
In the video you are seeing my first attempt at performing this procedure. Through the magic of editing, I can show you what I learned.
There is a small amount of evidence left of the old scratches still visible but just barely. Although there is risk of lens warping if I keep going, I think one more go would be okay. I've decided to go ahead and leave it be. I can't see any scratches or scuffs as I use the headset. It looks quite clear!
As mentioned in the video, do not use on any lens with a protective coating. For example, the PS4 VR headset has an anti-glare coating, if you use the secret polishing agent on it, the coating will react and make things worse.
If you don't have the polishing cloth, using a microfiber polishing cloth for polishing out scratches with the polishing agent should be okay. I didn't notice at first the polishing cloth leaving all kinds of itself all over the lens. Once I hit it with the microfiber it got rid of all that.
