To perform the BIOS update with no CPU installed you will need the following.
The motherboard and something to place it on that is non conductive - the box is fine

A suitable PSU with a 24 pin main connection and a 4/8 pin EPS power connection

A USB memory stick with 32GB or less space and formatted to FAT32

A PC to download the BIOS and rename the BIOS file to msi.rom
