首要之務就是我們必須選擇永續的純素飲食，以遏止全球暖化。這樣就能立即穩定地球和氣候，然後我們才來考慮如何調適應變。我希望我們不用調適，但不這麼做，恐怕會太遲，如果現在我們不解決根本的問題，到時將沒有地球，談不上調適可言。這是很難過的事，而且事態危急。

因此，為了緩解嚴峻氣候造成的影響，我們要停止飼養牲畜，不再宰殺他們為食。我們必須吃純素，過著不傷害動物、不殘忍的生活，依據佛陀教理，並依據科學實證，這是停止全球暖化最好、最快、最有效、最持久的方式。

We must, first of all and the most important thing, we have to stop global warming by choosing a sustainable diet that is vegan. This will almost immediately stabilize the planet, the weather, and then we can think about adapting to the changes. I hope we don’t have to adapt, but otherwise, it might be too late if we don’t take care of the problem at the root right now, we will have no planet to even adapt to. It’s a very sad affair and very urgent.

So, in order to neutralize the effects resulting from the evermore severe climate, we must stop the raising of livestock to kill for food. We must live a vegan, animal-free, cruelty-free lifestyle according to Buddhist teaching, and according to scientific evidence that this is the best way for us to stop the global warming, and the fastest and the most efficient and the most long-lasting.
