During a survey for Indian Ocean Humpback Dolphins at Buffalo Bay, a pod of 12 dolphins was spotted. The pod had two claves, one of which was very young, most likely less than two weeks old. It was wonderful watching the pod hunting in the surf zone along the edge of a rip tide. The young calf was very active and agile, darting between different dolphins in the pod, but always returning to it's mother, and at time even appearing to ride on her back.
