This is one the Dual Dagger builds I use for my Tempest Rogue Inquisitor. It is a sort of unconventional build because it actively uses the Stealth ability.
I tested this build in the same scenario of my Tempest Archer build: versus Greater Mistral Dragon (You can find the archer build here: • Dragon Age: Inquisition - Tempest Archer R... )
I do plan to post videos of different scenarios for both the Archer and the Dual Wield.
Consensus is Tempest Rogues don’t need Stealth because the Flask of Lightning can fill that role.
However while I completely agree when it comes to the Archer Tempest, things get a bit more complicated with the Dual Wield Tempest.
When activate Flask of Lighting you want basically to get two effects: prevent the enemy from attacking you and deal damage to them.
With the Archer you get both effects for the entire duration of the Flask but the Dual Wield Tempest’s situation is different.
Obviously the DW Rogue needs to be in the melee to deal damage so you either use Flask of Lightning (or part of its duration, at least) to close the distance forfeiting the ability to “attack without retaliation” and the Flask damage bonus or you move toward your target suffering all the ranged attacks they enemy can throw at you and then activate the Flask.
Stealth can actually prevent all this. You can cloak, close the distance, attack with a nice Stealth damage bonus, then activate Flask of Lightning for a barrage of dagger hits followed by Flask of Fire and your highest DPS attack.
In my case the standard sequence is Stealth, Twin Fangs, Flask of Lightning, Dagger attacks (you can even use Twin fangs again if they cooled down: it’s a 8 seconds cooldown), Flask of Fire, Throwing Blades, then closing the sequence with Flask of Frost.
Of course if you, like me, have Trials enabled there are certain promoted enemies who can flush you from Stealth but overall this strategy will allow you to get in the position you need to take advantage of Flask of Lightning’s full duration.
I made a little modification to this build and I took "Ambush" passive in the Subterfuge tree. I'll post that other build too.
Thanks for watching :)
