Bikepacking from Bangkok to Chiang Mai, Thailand - What It's Really Like

Having visited Thailand more than 30 times, this trip was all about exploring off-the-beaten-path places.

Cycling through stunning rice paddies, visiting traditional Thai villages, and meeting the incredibly generous and curious locals were just some of the highlights of my adventure.

From a cold drink handed to me by a stranger to unforgettable encounters at local shops, this journey was filled with heartwarming moments.

🏡 Finding Unique Accommodation:
Staying in small villages brought challenges and rewards. Whether it was finding a guesthouse with the help of friendly neighbors or being gifted a free stay, these experiences made the trip even more special.

🍛 Tasting Local Cuisine:
Stopping at roadside cafés and indulging in authentic Thai dishes added so much flavor (literally!) to my adventure.

💥 Not Everything Went Smoothly:
This trip had its share of obstacles, from double flat tires to communication challenges. But the kindness of strangers, from fixing my bike to helping me find accommodation, made every challenge worth it.
