How To Get Potato Seeds and more ! ( Tips for Beginners)

To plant potatoes you have to buy Organic potatoes from your local store or farmers market..
Store the potatoes in your pantry for about 2 to 3 weeks. That's when they will start a shootout.. turning them into seeding potatoes . #greentgarden #longisland #potatoes

you should: cut seed potatoes into pieces with at least one "eye" (sprout), plant the potatoes about 3-6 inches deep, space the pieces 12 inches apart in the furrow, cover them with 3-4 inches of soil, and then water well; as the plants grow, you can gradually "hill" the soil around them to protect the developing tubers from sunlight. 

Potatoes needs about 8 hours of sunlight..
Best temperature for growing potatoes is in spring and fall time start early..
