Pateley Bridge is a market town in Nidderdale near Harrogate, North Yorkshire, England.
Historically part of the West Riding of Yorkshire, it lies upon the River Nidd. Pateley Bridge is in the Yorkshire Dales, and is just outside the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The town has the oldest sweet shop in the world.

In this video we take a walk down Pateley Bridge High Street from the junction with Ripon Road and Old Church Lane. On our way down the High Street we pass The Pateley club, Cocoa Joes, Fish with a twist and Faded Elegance shops before arriving at the Oldest Sweet Shop In The World!

If you visit the Yorkshire Dales then a trip to Pateley Bridge to visit the Oldest Sweet Shop In The World is a must! Still serving sweets in the traditional way this sweet shop has been recognised by the World Guinness Book Of Records as the world's oldest sweet shop.

As we continue down Pateley Bridge High Street we see Sweet Heart Tea Rooms, Talbot House Hotel and Tea Rooms, Glad Rags Boutique and High Street Fisheries.

After the Crown Hotel we cross over and head into Kings Court, a lovely little courtyard featuring some terrific coffee shops and cafes and some great shops and florists!

We end this Pateley Bridge walk at the actual old Pateley Bridge itself over the River Nidd. This bridge has been here for centuries and is the bridge that the town takes it's name from.
