This was NOSM's inaugural Health Sciences Webinar, held on September 30, 2020. These webinars are intended to aid in the professional development of Health Sciences Clinicians working in Northern Ontario, including Audiologists, Dietitians, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Physician Assistants and Speech-Language Pathologists.
This webinar was delivered by Dr. Joseph Leblanc, NOSM's new Associate Dean of Equity & Inclusion, speaking about the School's new movement: Respect the Difference. The webinar was followed by the announcement of the nominees and recipients for the 2019-2020 Preceptor Awards for the Health Sciences Programs. The event was opened and closed by Perry McLeod-Shabogesic, an Indigenous Knowledge Keeper with a long history of working with NOSM and its learners.
