We all have those moments when we just can't seem to get anything done. It never ends, no matter how many times we try. Why? The motivation we get in return is the typical talk on focus, self-belief and motivation and consistency. Is this motivation really effective? Preet Jain presents an interesting take on this oft-discussed topic, drawing on his own personal experiences and the path he took to write his debut book. He discusses the paradigm shift in mindset needed - a simple transition from ‘just do it’ to ‘just be at it’ is where it all starts. Preet Jain is presently in the final year of NMIMS Mumbai's B.B.A. program. Preet wrote his first book, "Basics of Marketing & Digital Marketing: An Introduction for Beginners," in 2023. It was well-received by higher education universities, some of which included it in their curricula and had industry leaders endorse it. The Asia Book of Records then recognized him as the continent's youngest academic author and Asia's Grandmaster of Digital Marketing, a worldwide distinction. Additionally, India Book of Records recognized him as the "Youngest person to author a book on Digital Marketing." He is a passionate academic researcher at NMIMS, serving as the head of Public Relations of the Placement Committee, SOC. He is now working on multiple research articles and case studies on Indian Management Thought. In addition, he actively participates in social work in rural Rajasthan, working with cottage handloom enterprises, studying Jain anthropology and translation studies. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
