Fascinationは(ファシネイション)は 魅了（された状態）のことです。
この曲は、イタリア出身の作曲家フェルモ・マルケッティが1904年に作曲しました。
そして、オードリー・ヘップバーンとゲーリー・クーパー主演の「昼下がりの情事（Love in the Afternoon）に使われたことによって、多くの人に知られるようになりました。
でも、「昼下がりの情事」は、1957年の映画なので、モーリス・ド・フェラウディがフランス語歌詞を書いて、50年も前に作られていた曲のようです。
なので、映画のために作られたオリジナル曲ではなかったのです。
もともと、パリのカフェのオーケストラ用に作られ歌詞をつけられて、シャンソンになったそうです。
そういえば、パリのカフェでゆったりと過ごすイメージが感じられます。
Fascination was composed in 1904 by Italian composer Ferruccio Marchetti.
It became widely known after being used in the film Love in the Afternoon, starring Audrey Hepburn and Gary Cooper.
However, since “Love in the Afternoon” is a 1957 film, it seems that Maurice de Ferré wrote the French lyrics, and the song itself was composed over 50 years earlier.
Therefore, it was not an original song created specifically for the film.
Originally, it was composed for a Parisian café orchestra, lyrics were added, and it became a chanson.
