Labour Day Classic 2025: Intros, Anthem, Tribute & Jets - Calgary Stampeders Pre-Game Tradition

Keeping up with my Labour Day Classic tradition is capturing the entire opening video sequence with player introductions, the national anthem and yes of course the jets with a couple of CF-18 jets flying overhead McMahon Stadium just before kickoff.

Labour Day Classic is always a big game between the Calgary Stampeders and Edmonton Elks for the Battle of Alberta rivalry game and of course I'm always on Calgary's side. Another part of the Labour Day Classic tradition is the Calgary Stampeders wearing their black jerseys. While once again I did capture most of everything and glad that I've captured everything. Couldn't get the jets returning back over McMahon Stadium as it was another hot one in the stands and my smartphone did overheat but at least got the CF-18 jets heading south overhead which seemed like a better spot than last year where I catch the game.

Been very light on game day moments so far this season as this was only my second game that I've attended as I was too busy and hectic this summer and that was before factoring in the weather for one game that I've stayed home for.
