Jon the Dentist is a British DJ and producer who’s active in the scene for a long time already. As a DJ he played all over the world and as a producer he’s responsible for tracks such as “Cyanide”, “Playa Sol”, “Feel So Good”, “Imagination” and of course, his biggest anthem “Global Phases”.

In June 2022, just before his gig at the Legacy Festival in Belgium, I sat down with Jon for his first ever video interview, in which I asked him about the story behind “Global Phases” and more.

BTW, for the people who are curious if Jon is a real dentist….. Here’s the story behind the name "Jon The Dentist" from the man himself:

Well, originally it was just “The Dentist”, I added the Jon when I “went solo” with my Pyramid album. It all happened in an afternoon session with Baby Doc - we were literally finishing our first track together - neither of us had an artist name for the project - he liked the name “Baby Doc”, so I said “If you’re a doctor, well I’ll be a dentist!” Hence – “Baby Doc and The Dentist”. I am NOT a real dentist, I have no training, and I can’t stand teeth anyway! But it’s a cool name right? And it has stuck for over 25 years now and adorned posters, records sleeves, Beatport tracks and flyers all over the world.
