The Garant has one absolutely huge advantage: the directional chute. The EGO blows it a little to the side, but is not fully controllable.

However the EGO is just much more powerful than the Garant. You can just keep walking and EGO will keep on throwing. The Garant slows down and nearly chokes. The snow was dry, and fresh. I’ve tested them in wet snow. The Garant survived with major difficulty on heavy wet snow, but the EGO had no issues with foot high wet snow.
