I owned and have shot many lever action rifles over the years, but the Winchester 1892 Saddle Ring Carbine in 44 Mag is definitely my all time favorite. Love the fit and finish, the black Grade I walnut, the reach, the balance and the action are all first rate on this classic rifle. Not to mention an 11 round capacity and you have a do-it-all rifle that gets the job done, whatever the job is.
I do mention my second favorite and runner up to the Winchester, which is the Henry 30-30. Two really great rifles, but not quite the all arounder like the Winchester.
Oh, and with the upgraded Skinner Ladder sites, and big loop lever, it doesn't get better than this.
