If you are visiting the beautiful city of Almaty in Kazakhstan then it is very hard to beat the location and value that the Novotel Living and ibis Almaty Jetisu hotels offer.
In terms of location, the two hotels, which are housed in the same building, are amongst the newest in the city and are surrounded by beautiful parks and plenty of cheap and fancy restaurants, bars, cultural attractions and shopping that will keep you happily occupied no matter how long you are planning to stay in the city.
Plus, because it is a dual-branded hotel you can pay ibis prices and still enjoy the benefits of shared facilities such as a larger breakfast, 24-hour gym, and more.
The dual-branded hotel is also ideal for small meetings or incentives as senior management can stay in the Novotel Living part of the hotel, while junior staff can be housed in the slightly more affordable ibis hotel.
To learn more about the dual-branded property, part of Accor, Steven Howard spoke to Arseniy Tagaev, General Manager, on 21 August 2023.
In this interview, Arseniy explains the benefits of being a dual-branded hotel, what the Novotel Living brand is all about, why the hotel's location is perfect for both business and leisure visitors to the city, and what the difference in rooms is between the two brands.
We also discuss the challenges the hotel faces in terms of recruitment of multi-lingual staff now that Air Astana is expanding its flight network from Almaty International Airport (ALA) and other airlines resume and launch flights to the city as post-COVID19 travel recovery continues.
Being part of Accor, Arseniy tells us about the sustainable initiatives the hotel is taking to reduce waste, and how the property is embracing technology to enhance the guest experience. All that and much, much more in the video and podcast below.
