Since 2011, the Universal Health Coverage Partnership (UHC Partnership) has been assisting countries to strengthen their health systems through a primary healthcare-oriented approach to UHC. Expanding from 7 to over 125 countries, the UHC Partnership now covers nearly half the world's population and is one of WHO’s largest platforms for international cooperation, enabling countries to make more informed health decisions through technical guidance, advocacy, policy dialogue, and community engagement.
The UHC Partnership's flexibility, supported by long-term donor contributions, allows WHO to address health priorities where and when it matters, in times of both calm and crisis. With over 145 Policy Advisors, the UHC Partnership actively shapes national policies and scales local health programmes, with progress tracked through a Live Monitoring Platform.
Since its founding, the aim of the UHC Partnership has been to improve health and well-being for all irrespective of race, wealth, religion or gender.
