Today took a turn I really wasn’t planning for 😅
My last Turo guest returned my car 6 hours late, and because of that, I wasn’t able to get the oil change done before the next renter picked it up.
Now this new guest wants to keep the car long-term… so today I had to change the oil while they still had it — at their house.
I recorded the whole process:
Dumping the old oil
Driving 40 minutes to their place
Doing the full oil change in under 30–40 minutes
Trying not to wake anybody up
And making a mess in the process 😂
This is the REAL side of Turo hosting that nobody talks about — the weird situations, awkward timing, last-minute maintenance, and the adjustments you have to make to keep your car running and your guests happy.
