Summer Pockets - Kamome Route Ending

When our protagonist encounters Kushima Kamome wheeling a suitcase, she greets him like an old friend. This outgoing girl has come to the island searching for companions from an adventure ten years ago—a treasure hunt involving four hidden keys that unlock a chest containing a map to a legendary ghost pirate ship.

Drawn into her enthusiasm, the protagonist joins her quest. Together, they search for the keys and journey to a mountain cave, camping under the stars and growing closer. As they explore the cave's depths, the protagonist experiences vivid flashbacks of Kamome and four friends walking this same path a decade ago. Strangely, he glimpses a younger version of himself in these memories, though he has no recollection of knowing her as a child.

Emerging from the cave, they find the ship—but it's no ghostly pirate vessel. Just a tired, rundown boat. Suddenly, Kamome declares she remembers everything. She urges him to retrieve the suitcase she left in the cave, promising it contains "her true self." A blinding light flashes, and she vanishes.

Confused and worried, the protagonist returns for her suitcase. Inside, among ordinary items, lies a single book detailing the adventures of the "Catbeard Brigade"—the exact journey Kamome described. A clue about the author leads him to a woman near the island: Kamome's mother.

The truth unravels. Kamome has struggled with illness her entire life, spending long periods hospitalized. The suitcase she leaned on wasn't just luggage—it concealed her fragility. Now, she sleeps for extended periods. Does she visit the island only in dreams?

Her mother explains: the book was a gift, an adventure Kamome could experience despite her limitations. To make it real, she had hidden keys across the island and created the chest and map, planning for Kamome to relive the story when strong enough. But two years ago, Kamome's condition worsened, requiring hospitalization abroad. The ship was never finished.

Now the protagonist works tirelessly to restore the vessel, transforming it into the pirate ship of Kamome's dreams. With his friends' support, he races against summer's end. Can he make her adventure real before it's too late?
