Logitech MX Brio Ultra HD 4K Collaboration and Streaming Webcam, 1080p at 60 FPS, Dual Noise Reducing Mics, Show Mode, USB-C, Webcam Cover, Works with Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet - Graphite
This is a premium studio / home office webcam. It weights just over six ounces, and includes a clip & stick mount suitable for most desktop monitors. While it CAN rest on the top edge of a laptop with the same clip, it is heavy, so unless your hinges are tight, it may pull the laptop screen down. This is really intended for home office or studio use, not traveling. It magnetically attaches to the provided monitor clip, so you can remove it, and it has a standard 1/4-20 socket on the bottom so you can use it with most standard tripods and camera mounts.
It has a rotating bezel that closes a built in privacy shutter, which closes with a satisfyingly positive "click" and presents a clear visual indicator that the lens is blocked.
The included 4' USB-C to USB-C cable is thicker than your standard cable and has a rubbery feel.
The image quality is excellent (I'd expect nothing else at this price point) and you can select up to 4K at 30 FPS (HD at 60FPS) or many smaller resolutions if you don't want to be broadcasting every detail of your face on a zoom call.
The aspect ratio is very wide (much wider than other webcams I've used or the integrated camera in my laptop). I expect that if you use the Logitech software there are ways to select a smaller viewport from within the native super wide aspect ratio, but I was using it with Ubuntu Linux 22.04 without installing any software.
I am happy to report that it works perfectly within Ubuntu, natively supported by several of my software applications (including Open Broadcast Studio) and the kernel drivers. I did not evaluate any of the AI software Logitech provides for other operating systems.
Low light performance was very good, and it did very well with backlighting as well. You won't be disappointed with the image quality.
It is a premium offering, and is probably more hardware than most casual users really need, so unless you do a lot of streaming / video conferencing, you can probably get away with a lower cost offering, but if you want the best, the MX Brio 4K delivers.
